Free at last!!!!

Today was my appointment with my plastic surgeon and everything went well. I FINALLY got my drain out! YAY!!!! It was still draining more than 20 ml/day, but they decided to take it out anyway. They don't like drains to stay in longer than a month and Friday will be a month for me, so bye, bye drain! Oh and the best part is I don't even have to be wrapped! My doctor said we will give it a chance to see what happens, rather than torture me from the start. If I have fluid accumulate over the weekend then I am suppose to call on Monday, if not I will get checked on Thursday.

I also got expander fill #4 today. The physician's assistant added 60 ml to each side, which takes the left up to 270 ml and the right to 310 ml. I asked Kelly (the PA) what our goal was and she said for my size she would expect that we need to get to about 400 ml, so I'm getting there.

Oh and she made me feel really good with something she said. Every time I go, she always tells me that my reconstruction looks beautiful, but today she told me that I have one of the best results that she's seen. That made me super happy!

Now let's just hope the fluid behaves itself and I'll be good to go!
