Rest peacefully Daria

January 24, 1961 – January 22, 2010

Lately I have been behind on my facebook and blog reading, so I was shocked to find out that one of my fellow breast cancer sisters passed away. Daria Maluta passed away peacefully in the arms of her loving husband Donald Dykstra, at 04:34 a.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2011 following a courageous long fought battle with cancer.

I "met" Daria Maluta through blogging. She was originally diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000, recurred in 2004, and then again in 2008. She was living with lung, liver and bone metastasis and yet continued to be a great support for many survivors. You can read her story at http://daria-livingwithcancer.blogspot.com/
